Description:
Conceived in response to the growing millennial appetite for an authentic, pedestrian friendly, casual shopping and entertainment environment, the Hill was born. Located in the center of North Dallas the aging 150,000 sf center had at its center a seldom used, overlooked central plaza. The design approach recreated the plaza as a true entertainment destination surrounded by restaurants, music venues and retail. The architecture draws from the early roots of Texas commercial ventures: metal buildings, exposed steel, low sloping roofs, and sun protected storefronts. The eclectic design provides a fun alternative to the otherwise sterile north dallas shopping choices.
